Brendan Fitzgibbons is a comedian, actor and writer in New York City. Brendan is from Palatine, Illinois (where Spunky Dunkers Doughnuts are King) but began his comedy career in New York City.
He has performed all over the city including clubs such as Caroline’s on Broadway, Gotham Comedy Club, Stand-up New York, Upright Citizen’s Brigade, and Upright Citizens Brigade East along with several other booked shows. Some of Brendan’s favorite shows/rooms to perform at are the Living Room, Caffee Vivaldi, the Irish Exit and Bar 4. He currently produces and performs on the popular stand-up show at Lucky Jacks called “Gandhi, is that You?”
Brendan has also performed at several colleges including Georgetown University, Columbia University, University of Delaware, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Roanoke College, University of Colorado, Drew University and Philadelphia University. And in 2009, his World Series comedy team made the playoffs in the World Series of Comedy at Caroline’s competition. In 2010, Brendan was passed for Late Night at the Comic Strip Live! In 2012, he was a quarter finalist in the Laughing Devil Festival!
As an actor Brendan has studied at Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre as well Brooke and Mary’s Commercial classes. He also appeared on the first season of Bravo’s The Love Broker. As a writer, Brendan has contributed to McSweeney’s, The Onion, Cracked magazine and Cracked.com, Rolling Stone and Rollingstone.com, and Rolling Stone’s 40th Anniversary Book, you can also see his name in Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 9/11 and Dude, Where’s My Country? and The IFC Media Project. He is also a contributing joke writer and performer for the online comedy show, The BS of A with Brian Sack. He is also currently a cast member of the The Ride.
Brendan currently lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn one of his favorite places in the world. As you may or may not know, Park Slope is the home of the original yuppie. In high school Brendan drove a brown Ford Bronco after O.J.made it cool, and to this day, it remains the best thing he’s ever owned. Brendan loves his friends, Bruuuuuuuuuuce Springsteen, his family, his sister’s dog Sammy, his Godson Patrick, Notre Dame football, Vienna, books (no homo), coffee, bottled water, opinions, and money, not velociraptors.
